According to the Detroit Free Press, a Ford F-150 Pro Power Onboard system saved a Michigan wedding reception when the power went out abruptly. Harish Thiruvengadam, a Ford mechanical engineer, was one of the groom’s closest friends at the event. Thanks to his quick thinking, he sprung into action, pulled the F-150 truck onto the reception lawn, and plugged the cords into the outlets provided in the pickup bed. After a bit of work, running several power strips from the truck to the lighting and stereo systems, the party was back in full swing. Rachna Narada Kumar, the bride, said that it was “amazing, everybody was in their groove,” and with the help from the F-150, the party lasted until 2 a.m, she stated.
This unique situation highlights how crucial Ford’s Pro Power Onboard and its available 7,200 watts of power can be during emergencies, including being left out in the cold by a power outage or a wedding reception in need of a Generator.
