During Ford’s annual Global Caring Month, The company awards $700,000.00 in grants to 149 employee-nominated nongovernmental organizations and nonprofits.
Since its inception, Ford has been committed to serving others. Ford Volunteer Corps gathers employees each September to support humanitarian efforts in communities struggling with food insecurity, poor health, education gaps, housing shortages, or other basic needs. During this month-long event, Ford brings together thousands of volunteers from across six continents.
Ford offered employees alternative ways to stay community-focused during the pandemic by allowing them to nominate organizations to receive grants up to $5,000. These grants help purchase supplies, tools, and materials for community service projects to meet the needs of local communities.
